CHELCHELE
KOCHERE, ETHIOPIA | SINGLE ORIGIN ESPRESSO
BLUEBERRY · STRAWBERRY · TREACLE
ABOUT THIS COFFEE
Juicy blueberry, ripe strawberry and rich treacle sweetness. Chelchele is an expressive single origin espresso from Kochere, in Ethiopia’s renowned Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region.
Grown by smallholder farmers around Chelchele village, ripe coffee cherries are delivered to Chelchele Washing Station for sorting and processing.
This coffee is naturally processed, with whole cherries dried slowly on raised beds and turned regularly. Drying the fruit around the seed helps develop its berry character, body and layered sweetness.
In the cup, vibrant fruit meets a deep, lingering sweetness.

About This Coffee
From the rolling hills of Minas Gerais in Brazil to the highlands of Shakisso in southern Ethiopia, this blend brings together two distinct expressions of coffee growing.
The Brazilian component, sourced from Anahy Regional, offers the grounded sweetness and comfort that Brazil does so well, shaped by a landscape known for its steady ripening and dependable structure.
Kayon Mountain, by contrast, comes from Ethiopia’s high elevation terrain, where washed processing and careful selection preserve the region’s floral lift, citrus brightness and fine boned clarity.
Together, they create a balanced and expressive cup, one rooted in softness and familiarity, the other in vibrancy and detail.
